According to a study by Annie App, which is the authority in terms of statistics on Apps, during the first quarter of 2020 the hours of use of mobile applications increased by 20 % worldwide and the download of new apps reached 31,000 million with an increase of 15 % in comparison to the previous year; health apps, fitness, education and business have been those in greatest demand.

The emergency caused by COVID-19 has certainly changed consumer habits and boosted the need and dependence of society for digital solutions, increasing the use of technological tools to access all kinds of information or explore new forms of digital consumption that allow us to communicate, train, buy or consume products or services without having to leave home.

Although the first months there were some peculiar aspects, such as the increase in traffic for news sites or the decline of certain podcasts, but with the passage of the first quarter of the global pandemic the numbers have returned to normal. And with this, in a brief way, we can say that people are using their phone in the same way at home as when they went out a little more.

Not counting, that for thousands of Mexicans, things are already business as usual.
