There are professional reasons, but also disturbing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Sof\u00eda Rivera Arag\u00f3n, professor at the Faculty of Psychology at UNAM, said that there are various reasons why\u00a0<strong><em>we stalked<\/em>\u00a0which can be professional, personal or group related.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Currently, in the workplace, companies ask the applicant&#039;s social networks to find out what their preferences, tastes, values and affinities are, to evaluate if the profile they request matches the person.<\/p>\n<p>In the personal sphere,\u00a0<strong>The networks can be used to spy on the partner, ex-partner, friends, ex-colleagues and even ex-bosses,<\/strong>\u00a0for the purpose of being positive or seeking information in order to annoy or harm.<\/p>\n<p>The specialist in Interpersonal Relations highlighted that<strong><em>\u00a0stalk<\/em>\u00a0in a recurring and obsessive way it can become an addiction<\/strong>, and he noted that this occurs when every hour is checked what another person does, that is, the\u00a0<em>stalker<\/em>\u00a0he puts aside his activities to know those of others before. The consequences entail effects on mental health that initially manifest with anxiety and later with depression.<\/p>\n<p>To avoid such effects, Rivera Arag\u00f3n recommended that the\u00a0<em>stalker\u00a0<\/em>Be aware of what is wrong and seek professional help to eradicate the need to spy on people.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the academic stressed that social networks have facilitated access to information but &quot;unfortunately they do a lot of damage, they generate many problems of infidelity, jealousy, obsessions, violence, suicides and homicides, because through these means, sometimes, they communicate things that are not true \u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.unamglobal.unam.mx\/?p=71158\">Via UNAM Global<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Sof\u00eda Rivera Arag\u00f3n, a professor at the UNAM&#039;s School of Psychology, said that there are various reasons why we stalk, which can be professional, personal or related to groups.
