When using Outlook as your email client, you may need to adjust the settings for sending and receiving. The best results are obtained when an automatic cycle is set to a lower value, such as five minutes, or even as low as one minute.<\/p>\n

Follow these instructions to change the time to check for new messages in Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2007.<\/p>\n

For Outlook 2010:<\/p>\n

  1. Click on\u00a0File> Options<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. In the Options window, click\u00a0Advanced<\/strong>, scroll down and click the button\u00a0Send and receive<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/li>\n
  3. In section settings\u00a0All accounts<\/b>\u00a0from the group, select the check box\u00a0Include this group in sending and receiving (F9)<\/strong>\u00a0and select the check box\u00a0Programar enviar y recibir autom\u00e1ticamente cada “X” minutos<\/strong>\u00a0. Use the up and down arrows to set the\u00a0minutes<\/strong>\u00a0desired.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    For Outlook 2007:<\/p>\n

    1. Click on\u00a0Tools> Options<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. Click on the tab\u00a0Mail settings<\/strong>\u00a0. Select the check box\u00a0Send immediately on connection\u00a0<\/strong>and then click the button\u00a0Shipping and receiving<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/li>\n
    3. Make sure the group\u00a0All accounts<\/strong>\u00a0is selected and select the check box\u00a0Schedule automatically send and receive every<\/strong>. Change the value of\u00a0minutes<\/strong>, as appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
