Here is the formula:

1. Look for real talent. Hire people who are more smart and that they have more experience than you. This may be seen as obvious, but I have come to realize that it is not. You may want to feel like the smartest and most experienced member of your team, but this one will be so much better if that's not the case.

2. Look for different skills. When building as a small team, it is very important that each member brings something different to the table. Make sure they know that you are not looking for one person who says yes to everything. Value their opinionsespecially when they think differently. What are your weaknesses? Find people to complement them.

3. Avoid the temptation to micromanage. Everyone needs direction and leadership, but no one likes micromanaging. Give your employees a goal and let them achieve it. They may do things differently than you would, but that's okay.

4. Hire people who believe in your product. You can't teach an employee to care. If he's not excited about the opportunity to work with you, let him go. People who really believe in your idea and support you will work harder.

5. Recognize that people have different goals. For some it is money, for others it is recognition. Make sure you know the long-term goals of your team members and find out how you can help them achieve them. They will be very loyal to you if you do this.

6. Put the bar up. Everyone should be on the same page when it comes to what you expect and want. From the beginning I made it clear that it is important to me that people take responsibility for their mistakes. If they do, we will go ahead and finish. The correctcommunication it is essential for a good team.

7. Create a safe space. We all make mistakes, it is better to be able to laugh at them than to cry! We all have insecurities, but a good team does not pray that the winged team has them, but works to help them. Take the time and effort to create an open and friendly environment. They need each other to fight.

8. Never stop learning. Make the education your team is a priority. When people feel like they are learning something, they will be more involved with their work. How can you challenge your team in a productive way?

9. Don't forget to celebrate your logos as a team. There will be many small victories along the way. Keep your team focused and excited by making an effort to celebrate them.
