Sony has been very active in the past CES from Las Vegas, and among the products that it unveiled was this projector, which they have dubbed the Sony 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector, and which, as its name suggests, is a very short throw projector.
The benefits of this solution seem spectacular a priori, and go beyond that striking design that allows this projector to be placed almost literally against the wall where we want to project the image.
At Sony they have already revealed all the features of their new projector, which uses a laser diode to project an image that according to the manufacturer has a minimum diagonal of 66 inches but can reach 147 inches. The projector also offers 2,000 lumens of flux bright.
A real 4K projector
On top of that this ultra short throw projector offers resolution support DCI 4K, which means it is a true 4K projector (4,096 × 2,160 pixels resolution) versus projectors and televisions UHD (3,840 × 2,160) that manufacturers advertise as 4K even though they are not.
Image quality seems guaranteed thanks to the use of 3 chips SXRD, Sony's adaptation of the technology LCOS that tries to combine the best of the worlds DLP Y LCD in the projector segment. The inclusion of X-Reality technology PRO and the famous TRILUMINOS they add to a remarkable technical deployment.
These features in the image section are combined with a unique and modular design in which, among other things, we find specific elements for the speakers and that will undoubtedly excite users who want to avoid uncomfortable mounting of the projector on the ceiling or wall.
