Many entrepreneurs, in order to save money, hire the "Hosting" service for their page based on the cost rather than on the prestige and solidity of the company. Obviously, they hire the cheapest. The problem is that the decision can be disastrous.
This mistake is also made by many physical companies that want to enter the Internet-based market. As they are not very sure of what results a web page can give them, they do not want to invest a lot and end up marrying a cheap hosting service.
It happened to me a long time ago, when I was a fellow at a publishing company. We hired a person who would design a page for us and give us the Hosting. The page was still not fully functional when he informed us that he was going out of business, so we stayed like ranch brides: dressed and in an uproar.
If we really want to venture into electronic commerce, we must be willing to pay the admission fee, especially if our business will be exclusively electronic.
