The page is the face of the company. The page is equivalent to the facade and the interior of a company building. It is also equivalent to the face of each of its employees, mainly the seller, who in a physical company (of bricks and cement) faces the customer and sells the product with his personality and technique.
Many companies did not realize this truth and tried to sell using a page with a deplorable design, all because they did not want to spend on a good designer who not only knew how to master design tools, but was also highly creative.
A web page is an advertisement and, as such, it should immediately capture the attention and interest of the viewer. A poorly designed page repels the observer, immediately canceling the possibility of generating an interaction, such as the observation of a «banner» or, simply, the walk through the options menu.
A poorly designed page is like a store in a "Supermarket" that, when a consumer walks past it, does not even attract them to see its sideboard or window.
