How to stop spam sending promotional invitations to Apple's calendar

More and more Apple users say they have received spam on their phone these days with special offers and discounts to buy all kinds of products from different brands, from sunglasses to shoes or designer bags.

The invitations offer discounts on designer brands, but come from spammers, not the brands they claim to represent.

These promotions are coming in the form of an invitation through the iCloud calendar, and many coincided with the events of Black Friday(Black Friday) and Cyber Monday (cyber Monday).

“Llevo varios días recibiendo invitations with Chinese letters to attend events. Las rechazo, pero me vuelve a enviar más”, escribió un usuario en la página web de Apple en español.

“Tengo un conocido que le pasa lo mismo. Le aparecen both Chinese letters and other kinds of advertising“, explicó otro cliente de la marca.

But they are not the only ones and it is happening all over the world.

On the specialized blog Applesphera.com aseguran que se trata de “una nueva forma de hacer spam” que incluye la notificación de la oferta en el calendario -la cual dura varios días- y a huge mailing list of users to whom the invitation was sent.
