Microsoft's official update had some bugs but few are as annoying as the one that causes that when typing in the search bar (next to the Start Menu and the Windows button) simply ...nothing happens, which makes it practically impossible to take advantage of one of the best features of Windows 10: the lightning search from the taskbar.
In what comes the long-awaited update that solves it, you have to know that the problem is common and everything can be fixed from Windows terminal or Powershell.
First of all you have to find the Powershell without the search button, so it will surely be until the end of your applications or tasks section within your Windows 10 Start Menu.
Once in Powershell, you have to copy and paste the following:
